Our osteopathic medical education program is approved for three positions in the traditional rotating internship and nine positions in the family practice residency. The podiatry medicine and surgery-36 month program (PM&S-36) is approved for three positions.

Luke G. Nelligan, D.O.
Director of Medical Education
Dr. Nelligan graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and he completed his residency in family practice at Graduate City Avenue Hospital in Philadelphia. He has served on numerous committees for the Indiana Osteopathic Association (IOA) and was president from 1999 to 2000. Currently, he serves as chair of the IOA’s legislative committee and ad-hoc osteopathic medical school taskforce, as well as IOA’s treasurer. In 2001, Dr. Nelligan received the J.B. Kinsinger Plaque - IOA’s highest award for outstanding service to the osteopathic profession and the community. Currently, Dr. Nelligan serves as vice chief of staff and director of medical education for Westview Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. He also has a practice for family medicine, located in the community of Zionsville, Indiana. Dr. Nelligan is married to wife Carroll, and they have one son, Declan.
